Homemade Beauty Recipes.?

If you know of any homemade beauty recipes like dry body glitter or lotion, That would be great!

Thank you!Homemade Beauty Recipes.?
I don't know about you but i love a good exfoliant for my skin, i have a simple recipe for a sugar scrub i use about once a week to leave your skin so soft, and smooth. And its wonderful to use before tan lotion because it gets rid of any spots that absord too much pigment and leave you with orange splotches.

1 cup granulated sugar

1 scrubbie or pumice glove

%26amp; your favorite body wash

- I soak in a hot bath or shower and pour the body wash in my hand or scrubbie, or pour the body wash in the cup of sugar, and stir it together till it's mixed in well add it to my scrubbie or glove and massage my skin with it reaching all the important spots.. back or your legs, elbows and knees ect. It works amazing and you can even do it minus the body wash. It doesnt hurt your skin, no chemicals %26amp; its cheap!

-Enjoy :p

This mask combines avocados, which are rich in Vitamin E, with carrots, which are high in beta-carotene and antioxidants, and cream, which is high in calcium and protein. These ingredients will rebuild skin collagen, improve tone and texture, and fade age spots.

1 avocado, mashed

1 carrot, cooked and mashed

1/2 cup heavy cream

1 egg, beaten

3 tablespoons honey

Combine all ingredients in a bowl until smooth. Spread gently over your face and neck, and leave in place 10-15 minutes. Rinse with cool water and follow with your favorite toner.

Tomato and lemon might not be so good, since they're acidic, they would dry out your skin (I think when they said tomato juice is good for your skin they meant you to drink it).
    it is great

add rosemary oil to make it smell wonderful
    makes a nice veg soup

Egg whites con firm the skin and tighten pores, giving the appearance of a smoother, softer complexion. Whip two egg whites together, apply to the face and let dry, then wash off with water.

Baking soda is alkaline and can remove dead skin cells without damaging the skin. Massage a baking soda paste, made from 1 tbsp. of baking soda and a drizzle of water, onto the skin for 30 seconds, then rinse off with water.

Lemon juice is highly acidic, and can help increase cell turnover on the skin, which can reveal a fresh, youthful complexion. Apply undiluted lemon juice onto the face after washing.

i tried the baking soda and it tightned my face really nicely but it made my zits red Report Abuse

Way back in time, in the ancient Greek and Roman civilizations, women used to apply Olive Oil onto their skin!

Here is what you can do: in a small bowl, put some Olive Oil (organic works best). Make sure, however, you don't put too much! Then grab a small towel, and wet it in hot water. Once you do this, you can start applying the olive oil anywhere on your skin. Put the hot towel on the part of the skin you applyed olive oil in, and rest for a couple minutes.

    :) Hope this helps.
mix up a raw egg and put it on ur face. it works!

    Honey and aspirin mask/scrub :D

Use 3-5 tablets of aspirin, and put about 3 DROPS of water on them until they dissolve, and crush them until they turn into a paste. Mix the paste with honey, but make sure you mix enough for your entire face, maybe a tablespoon of honey. Spread it on your face, and leave it on for about 15 minutes. When you go to wash it off, you can scrub it a little since the mask has bits of aspirin in it. It will leave your face feeling very soft and fresh :)

For a lip scrub, you can dip your finger in olive oil and salt OR honey and sugar and scrub your lips, it will leave them very soft.

Here's one that I heard recently (my face is beyond help, but I'm proud to be ugly where I come from).

Put vinegar in a plant mister and mist your face everyday. The vinegar smell will only last for ten minutes.
    Tips 1:

Soak 4 almonds overnight. Make a very fine paste with them, using milk to grind them.

Apply this paste on the neck and face before going to bed. Wash with cold water in the morning. Repeat daily for 15 days, followed by twice a week.

About protein powder. How can I use it in a recipe? I have tried cookies, beauty pack, etc. Is there other?

    Crepes.

The type of protein powder you use matters. Whey protein, I think, doesn't hold up to heat.

You can also add it to smoothies, breakfast cereal, cream of wheat....It's a good low-fat way to get some protein in your morning meal.About protein powder. How can I use it in a recipe? I have tried cookies, beauty pack, etc. Is there other?
    Make smoothies!

I work at juice city and customers are always requesting protein powder in their smoothies.

Recipes for homemade beauty treatments and body scrubs please?

I was wondering if anyone might have some good recipes for homemade beauty treatments and body scrubs. We don't have the money for me to go to Bath and Body Works or other places all the time, I was looking at some products the other day and everything was at least $15.00! I remember seeing recipes in magazines for different things like a sugar and olive oil body scrub (I think those were the ingredients) or oatmeal banana face masks, stuff like that. I would appreciate any recipes or advice. I have the normal t-zone thing going on, oily skin on my chin, nose and forhead but my cheeks can sometimes get dry and flaky.Recipes for homemade beauty treatments and body scrubs please?

Avocado works well on skin, try mixing it with fine sugar and using it as a leave-in scrub. I've also tried fresk aloe vera but its hard to get in most places. Try mixing some blended fresh mint in the avocado, it'll cool your face while scrubbing!

to keep your skin fresh and pimple-free, eat lots of fish (NOT fried) and drink tea and tons of water.
honey and oatmeal (uncooked) is a good facial mask and scrub. The site below has SO MUCH tips
I collect all my beauty tips in the source 1 and check out if you have time! Hope they are useful. And source 2 is the home remedies recipes.
O_O Some girl told you to eat lots of fish to keep your face clean, that is a lie. Fish can give you more acne.
Drinking plenty of water will keep your skin soft and healthy, as well as the rest of your body.

Honey is a great mask to use on your skin. I know, eww, but honey is actually the only substance in nature which both kills bateria and doesn't allow it to grow. Plus, it's great for moisturizing.

Another great skin treatment is to mix a little milk in some sugar and use as a scrub. The sugar crystals are abrasive enough to remove dead skin but also gentle. It's a wonderful alternative to microdermabration. In addition, the lactate acid from the milk reguvinates skin and helps treat MINOR breakouts.

What is your favourite homemade mask or other beauty recipe?Share with us!?

the very very first homemade mask that i've tried(and was recommended by my mom), was egg white. i apply the egg white all over my face to tighten my pores (i have oily skin) and it is great for face lifting. egg yolk is great for curing dry skin.

other than that i've tried, honey, tomato, and papaya.

    2;Banana Moon Facial Mask- recipe

    Simple Solution:

    INGREDIENTS

    1 banana, just ripe

    1 tablespoon honey

    1 egg yolk

    1 teaspoon wheat germ oil

    1 tablespoon finely powdered oats

1 teaspoon lemon juice (optional, if mask will not be used immediately)

1 drop each rose and Melissa essential oils (optional)

    1. Peel and mash banana. Add honey, egg yolk, wheat germ oil, oats, and lemon juice, if used, and mash further to form a smooth, creamy paste.

    2. If mask is too thick, add a bit of distilled water, and stir until smooth.

    3. Add essential oils last, and stir to mix well.

    4. To use, apply to clean face and neck, avoiding eye and mouth areas. Rest for 10 minutes, or longer if your skin is very dry. Rinse with warm water, and follow with toner and moisturizer, if desired. Use mask within a few hours of making.

    3;Refreshing Fruit Facials

    Facial Mask with banana, honey.

    1 ripe ripe Banana

    1 T Honey

    1/2 teaspoon Jojoba oil

    1 T Yogurt

    1 egg white

    1 T Kaolin (white) clay

In a small mixing bowl, whisk the egg white, then blend in the Yogurt, Jojoba oil, Honey and then the Kaolin clay until it becomes a smooth creamy mixture. In a separate bowl, mash up the banana until it is smooth, then blend into the first mixture.

The best way to use this masque is while sitting in the tub because it is a bit messy. Apply to the entire face, neck and shoulder area. As it sits, keep applying more while you build the masque up as well as massage it in. Let sit for at least 10-15 minutes and then remove with a warm washcloth. Finish with a tonic or hydrosol on a cotton ball to remove any excess product from the skin, then moisturize as usual.

This is a wonderful softening and firming treatment

    3;APPLE MASK FOR NORMAL SKIN

    1 Apple, cored %26amp; quartered

    2 T Honey

Drop the apple pieces into a food processor and chop. Add honey and refrigerate for 10 minutes. Pat the mixture onto your face with a light tapping motion, tapping until the honey feels tacky. Leave it on for 30 minutes and then rinse.

    4;STRAWBERRY DRAWING MASK

    1/2 c Strawberries, very ripe

    1/4 c Cornstarch

Mix strawberries and cornstarch together to make a paste and apply it to your face, avoiding the delicate area around your eyes. Leave it on for 30 minutes and then rinse it off with cool water.

    5;BLEMISHED SKIN MASK

    1 Tomato, ripe, chopped

    1 tsp Lemon juice

1 T Instant style oatmeal or old-fashioned rolled oats

Blend everything until just combined. Apply to skin, making sure the mixture is thick enough to stay on blemished areas: cheeks, forehead, or chin. If necessary, add a bit more oatmeal to thicken the mask. Leave it on for 10 minutes, then scrub it off with a clean washcloth dipped in warm water

    6;Orange Mask

For this you need half a cup oatmeal, juice of half an orange, glycerine and a little egg white to make a paste.

Beat the egg white and then add the oatmeal and juice to it.The glycerine is to moisturise the skin. The egg white gets rid of wrinkles and the orange is just to feed the skin. With this mask, open pores and greasy complexions are miraculously rejuvenated.Normal skins can also be treated with these masks.

    7;Cucumber and Honey as Toner.

1 medium Cucumber, peeled and cut up into pieces

    2 tsp. Honey

Puree cucumber in a blender. Line a sieve with cheesecloth and set the sieve over a glass bowl or measuring cup. Pour the cucumber puree through the sieve and let it stand for 15 minutes for the juices to drip into the bowl. Pour the clear juice into a clean bottle and add honey.

To use, shake the bottle and saturate a cotton pad with the lotion. Sweep over face, neck and chest morning and night, and let it air dry (about 3 to 4 minutes). Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Makes about 1/2 cup.

i guess these are enough for the day .

i had also tried tomato, egg white and honey oneWhat is your favourite homemade mask or other beauty recipe?Share with us!?
    plain yogurt..

    egg yolk ..

    honey

mix and add to clean face...let it stay on for 15 minutes..rinse with warm water..skin will be so soft.
For the Face: Plain yogurt makes a good, soothing mask. You can add some ground oatmeal for a little extra exfoliation and honey for a little moisture.

Add a bit of water to 2-3 tblsp. of baking soda to make a paste %26amp; use it as face scrub. Use gentle pressure.

Or you can crush up 6 plain, uncoated aspirin tablets and mix it w/ a little water to make mask.

Or use one of these variations to make a cleanser or mask:

Milk of Magnesia - apply in thin layer where needed %26amp; allow to dry 5-10 mins. Will absorb oil %26amp; tighten pores.

Mixture: 6 crushed aspirins, mixed with the liquid facial cleanser at hand (I usually use either cetaphil or tersaseptic), and 1-2 drops of tea tree oil.

Mix half a teaspoon of crushed tablets with Queen Helene Mint Julep mask and aloe vera gel.

Held 6 aspirin in palm, and slowly dripp water onto them until they fizzled and dissolved! Once dissolved, add 2-3 drops of honey into it and mixed it around with my finger. Apply to face. Keep it on 15-20 mins.

Mix 6 aspirin tablets with a little aloe to make a mask.

Use about 6 uncoated tablets, witch hazel, tee trea oil, and aloe to make a thin paste.

    For toner:

8 ounce bottle of distilled water add four uncoated aspirin

    or

mix of 1/2 water, 1/2 witch hazel, 15 aspirin, and 2 drops of tea tree essential oil and 2 drops of rosemary essential oil

For hair: Make a deep conditioning mask of 1/2 of a mashed avocado or 1 medium banana. Apply to hair %26amp; leave in for 10-15 mins. Rinse thoroughly w/ cool water.

For yellow nails: soak your nails in a bit of water w/ a denture cleaning tablet or swipe them w/ a cotton swab dipped in hydrogen peroxide.

You can use olive oil or vitamin E oil to moisturize your nails %26amp; cuticles.

You can make a paste of white sugar or Epsom salts mixed with olive oil to make a body scrub.

Cooling foot bath: Steep tea bags (regular or green tea) for 10 mins. Add lots of water %26amp; soak your feet for 10 mins. Apply body scrub %26amp; rinse to remove dead flaky skin.
Bananna and honey, plain flavored yogurt, and sugar and honey. CAUTION! Rinse your face well after the sugar mask, or it will create pimples.
grind/chop/blend cucumber (with skin) then apply on ur face.. its a cooling sensation.. its gd for ur skin.. i duno how.. (i forgot.. oops) yeh but its gd..

    Homemade Toners

Here is how you can make a toner at home.

For quickly refreshing your skin, grate a cucumber. Then use a wash cloth and apply the cucumber juice to your face. Cucumber juice is a natural astringent. It can tone and tighten skin!

    Eggwhite Toner

Clean face thoroughly using any natural cleanser. Apply raw eggwhites to the skin and leave on for at least 15 minutes. Wash off with tepid water.

Lemon is a strong astringent, dilute with water before using, being careful to keep away from eyes.

    Lemon Toner

    1/2 cup lemon juice

    1 cup distilled water

    2/3 cup witch hazel

Combine all ingredients. Pour into a clean bottle or decorative cosmetics container. Shake well before using. Apply with a clean cotton ball.

    Protein Toner

Beat together 1 Tbsp milk, 1 tsp honey and 1 egg. Apply to face and neck. Leave on as long as desired. Rinse off with warm water followed by a splash of cold.

Strawberry: Mash strawberries, use as an astringent and cleansing face mask.

Witch Hazel: Use an extract of witch hazel as an astringent, a skin freshener and to soothe skin irritations.

    Natural Beauty/Spa recipes?

Does anyone have any easy spa beauty recipes for things like: bath soak, foot soak, facial mask, etc. that can be made from kitchen supplies and herb/flower plants (for example, I have a mint plant on the balcony and lemon juice in the fridge but I don't want to limit it to those as I will be adding more herbs and have other supplies than lemon juice).

P.S. I would like to not add eggs or milk in these. Thanks.Natural Beauty/Spa recipes?

    olive oil

    table salt

any recipe using these ingredients for my hair, body, hands and feet?I need a good homemade beauty recipe from a kitchen?
If you have any sugar around, a great facial scrub can be made with olive oil and sugar. The sugar will be less drying to your skin than salt, but you can also do it with salt. (wash thoroughly after scrub, the olive oil will really adhere to your face)

If you have some time, you can make a hand creme/face creme with a blender and olive oil, and some water (you could probably also use a little baby oil) by mixing 2/3 cup of oil mixture (mostly olive) with 1/4 cup water. Put water in blender, slowly mix in oil till reach desired consistency.

You can create a milk bath/bath salt mix by mixing a little bit of baby oil in about half a cup of salt (if you have any around, adding a tiny bit of borax, and some epson salts will make it more luxuriating) Mix baby oil in till the salt is lightly coated, but not clumpy.

After you put 1/4 cup in hot bath water, pour in a cup or two of milk and luxuriate. Skin will come out soft and smooth.I need a good homemade beauty recipe from a kitchen?
    sounds kinky
bananas, olive oil, and table salt make a wonderful beauty scrub for the face and body. the milk is good for refreshing the skin as it is a gentle acid. Vaseline, well i don't like it much since its not a natural moisturizer but you could work it into your elbows and knees if they are extra dry. You could use it on your feet and hands too...but then you need to put socks on them to keep the moisture in them for a few hours.
ok...what are you looking to do...romantically? you can give each other massages with the baby oil...

cosmetically..you can heat the olive oil and rub it in each other's hair, blow dry it.... then go shampoo twice (no conditioner) and you will have very fluffy healthy hair...

i'll let you use your imagination about the vaseline...

and i think if you mix salt with something you can make a very good body scrub.. try the baby oil and mix it with the salt.

let us know how it was ;)
    Vaseline

    Another Great Use for Vaseline

I already shared with you how great an eye makeup remover Vaseline (or generic petroleum jelly) is. But it also works on chapped lips. Slick on a lot of Vaseline on your lips, then using a fresh toothbrush (not the one you use every day), massage the Vaseline into your lips. This will get rid of dry, scaly dead skin %26amp; will leave your lips soft %26amp; chap-free.

    Vaseline Petroleum Jelly Cream

    (not the regular petroleum jelly)

I use this stuff so much. You can put it on any part of your body, and it makes your skin so soft. It even makes your elbows feel nice! Not many products do that.

If you're interested in getting more bang for your buck from your next trip to the drugstore, you might consider picking up a tub of Vaseline. By far, Vaseline is the cheapest cosmetic item in the world, but many people do not realize that petroleum jelly has a slew of beauty uses. Trust me on this one, it's not just for your lips! Here are a few of the ways that I use the old blue topped stand-by:

Eye makeup remover: As someone who only occasionally wears eye makeup, it really doesn't make sense for me to have a separate eye makeup remover on hand for the off chance that I might need it. Instead, I smear a generous goop of Vaseline on my eyelids and wipe it off with a cotton makeup pad. Voila! no more makeup.

Eyebrow tamer: Beauty editors want you to think that you need to purchase a separate brow gel to keep your arches in place during the day. But what I've found is that applying a little bit of Vaseline to a clean mascara brush is a great way to instantly tame your brows.

Mascara: As I've already mentioned, mascara is not my favorite thing to put on everyday. But since my eyelashes are blond, I do find that coating my top lashes gives them a little bit more definition than they would have on their own.

Lip gloss base: Do you have a lipstick that you love but which it was in a lighter formulation? Well, one easy way to double your color options is to take a slice of lipstick and mix it in a pill tin to make your own custom lip gloss.

Want your eyeshadow to last all day? It's simple and

inexpensive! Before you apply your favorite eyeshadow, put a thin layer of Vaseline on your eyelids.

    BABY OIL

Subject: beauty Exfoliating rubs can often be pricey...a cheap and very effective use of sugar mixed with a little baby oil (just enough to make it damp) works very well. The use of sugar instead of sea salts which is most often used, eliminates the burn from the salt and can be used right after shaving. --

    Sensational Spring Time Foot Scrub

Combine these ingrediants in a foot bath or large bowl:

2 Oranges sliced in rings, a cup of baby oil (if you are out of baby oil use vegitable oil) and, a cup of epsom salt or sea salt. Soak your feet for 10-20 minutes. Rub the orange slices all over your feet.

    baby oil tip

Mixing it with a touch of your favorite bubble bath will create a lovely bathwash.

Use after shaving your legs to soften your skin and prevent razor burn

Use on cracked or dry heals and put socks on to hold in the moisture

Use a small amount to bring out the sheen in your wooden furniture

Massage a little on your cuticles before your manicure or pedicure

Using before going in the sun can increase your likelihood of sunburn or suntan (beware of uva/uvb rays. This is not endosed behaviour!)

Babyoil makes a good personal lubricant (but can damage profylactics)

    Great and inexpensive massage oil

Great lubricant for noisy door hinges!

Gets rid of temporary tattoos in a snap.

    Olive OIL:

Cuticles and nails: If your cuticles are ragged and your nails brittle and dry, olive oil can help! Soak nails for 30 minutes in a small cup of olive oil.

Hands: Smooth on a generous amount of olive oil before bed, put on white cotton gloves, and go to sleep. Your hands will be softer and smoother in the morning!

Lips: To soothe and smoothe dry, chapped lips, dab on a little olive oil.

Hair treatment: This helps repair split ends, heals dandruff, and makes your hair shiny, silky, and lustrous. Massage a few tablespoons of olive oil into scalp and hair. Cover hair with a plastic bathing cap and leave on for 30 minutes or more, then shampoo as usual.

Skin: Massage a small amount of olive oil into skin whenever you need softening and moisturizing. Apply extra oil to rough or cracked areas.

Bath: Add several tablespoons of olive oil to your bath, along with a few drops of your favorite essential oil, to soothe and nourish your skin.

    Helpful Hints:

Always use the purest olive oil available. Usually, this means organic extra-virgin expeller-pressed olive oil.

    2. Olive oil can be used as cleansing cream if your skin is dry.

    3. For a facial, wet face thoroughly, then massage olive oil into your skin. Use about a half teaspoon of sugar and scrub your face with that, then wipe off gently with a warm, wet cloth until the sugar is all gone.

    5. It seems when you pour olive oil out there is always a drip, so wipe it up with your hand and rub it in to your elbows. Wonderful softening properties.

    6. Use olive oil as bath oil. Two to three tablespoons will do the trick.

    7. Use olive oil for your hair. Not only does it condition, but it also gets rid of the frizz. Put a small drop into your palm %26amp; then rub both hands together %26amp; apply it to dry hair.

Olive Oil: Beauty Tips For the Skin

There is a multitude of evidence indicating that a diet based on olive oil can promote a longer life and prevent diseases such as cancer and heart conditions. But did you know that olive oil is also a rich source of antioxidants, which helps slow down the aging process as well as offer a number of other cosmetic benefits. By adding olive oil to your beauty regimen, you can smooth out your skin, condition your hair, strengthen your nails, and more. Incorporate these simple kitchen cupboard beauty tips into your daily routine and notice the difference:

Mix 陆 cup olive oil, 录 cup vinegar, and 录 cup water to make a night cream that will leave your skin glowing. The olive oil will help soften and moisturize your skin and the vinegar will lighten slight discolorations, kill bacteria and exfoliate dead skin cells.

Create your own facemask with extra virgin olive oil and good quality clay mud or avocado. Mix well, apply to face for five to 10 minutes, and rinse.

Give yourself a facial. Wet your face, massage olive oil onto your skin, scrub your face with half a teaspoon of sugar, and wipe off gently with a warm, wet cloth.

Rub olive oil onto your elbows, knees, heels, or other dry spots to immediately feel softer and smoother.

Use two to three tablespoons of olive oil in a bath and come out feeling silky all over.

Condition your hair. Put a dime-sized drop of olive oil into your palm, rub both hands together, and lightly apply to dry, frizzy hair.

Rub olive oil on your feet and put on a pair of thick, which cotton socks to help soften up your tootsies.

Soak you fingernails into a bowl of warm olive oil to smooth out cuticles and strengthen nails.

Melt some olive oil with beeswax and use it as lip balm or just pat a little oil directly on your lips.

This treatment repairs split ends, helps with dandruff, and makes your hair shiny, and silky.

1)Simply take a couple of tablespoons of olive oil between your palms and rub them together to warm it a bit.

2)Then massage the oil into your scalp.

3)Take the remaining oil on your hands and spread it down from the scalp to the end of your hair.

    4) Put a shower cap on and leave it on for about 25-30 minutes.

    5) Shampoo as usual.

    Bath Salt Recipes

There is nothing quite as versatile as bath salts. They can be made in every color of the rainbow, can be scented to your personal preference, and if you want them to bubble or fizz, that can be done as well. And did I mention, your salts can be as fine as table salt or as large as beach pebbles?

    Acne

(submitted by visitor) I get rid of a pimple completely overnight, or about 1 to 2 days, (depending on how severe the blemish). Pop your pimple. by sliding the edge of something, across it, and poping it. Then 1/4 fill your sink with warm water, and pour about a half cup of salt to the water. Take a cotton ball or cotton square or round, and soak it in the salty water for about 30 seconds, moving it around in the water getting it good and salty. Take it out and squeeze out the water. Apply the cotton ball to pimple, and push down. if it doesn't tingle, put more salt on the cotton ball. When it does tingle, push down for 3 minutes. After 3 minutes, DO NOT WASH OFF THE SALT THAT STAYS ON YOUR FACE!!! Take Some honey and drop it on a Q-tip. Apply honey to pimple and leave on for 15 mintes. After 15 min is up, rinse off with water. Then apply a dab of toothpaste and leave overnight... That's it!!! Odd i know, but i works!!

here's 1 that works pretty good, but don't use it every day. it makes your skin so soft and smooth.

Mix 1/4 cup brown sugar with 3 tablespoons milk unti lthey form a paste. Rub the mixture gently on your face for 1 minute. Rinse well with warm water for clear skin -----%26gt; this is from a CosmoGirl! article for clear skin.

here's 1 for acne prone skin:

A plain baking soda and water mask is by far the best you can do for acne prone skin. Mix a water and baking soda in a cup until the consistancy of a thinner paste. Pat on face (do not rub) and let sit till it hardens then rinse off. This has done miracles for my sensitive acne prone skin!! Plus it's all natural! Sometimes I add a few drops of tea tree oil too. Once or twice a week is plenty for this treatment.

    hope this helps!!!!!!!!!!! :D

    Eat healthier

By avoiding foods that often make your face breakout, your skin will be less oily and more resistant to blemishes. Some problem foods that may cause pimples or breakouts include chocolate and other candy, French fries, fast food, pizza and soft drinks.

To get your skin in better shape, you may not have to give up everything that has negative effects on your skin, but rather, eat those things in moderation. Have greasier foods as a special treat or on rare occasion when eating a healthy, balanced meal is out of the question.

    Hydrate and exercise

Drinking the recommended eight glasses of water per day coupled with some regular exercise - walking, running, bicycling, engaging in sports - should have a great impact on one鈥檚 complexion. Increased blood flow due to aerobic exercise will positively impact one鈥檚 complexion with a glowing look to replace dull skin.

Not only will exercise and drinking water help skin tone and texture, but it will also make you feel more energized and great about yourself. By keeping your body in shape, you will feel less stressed and more capable of achieving those things you set out to do.

    Monitor sun exposure

By using a moderate strength sunscreen, you will be protecting your skin from sun damage, skin cancer, aging and premature wrinkles. Too much sun can blister one鈥檚 lips, leaving them red, sore and charred. Sunburned skin will eventually peel most times, leaving skin areas blotchy and sensitive. The best approach to preventing sunburn and other sun-caused skin problems is to monitor how much time one spends in the sun and to avoid sun exposure by using sunscreen with SPF 15 or greater.

    Practice a regular cleansing routine

Cleanse, exfoliate, tone and moisturize鈥his daily routine should carry you on your way toward healthier skin. Select a gentle skin cleansing solution that works for your specific type of skin - dry, oily, normal. Using your selected product, cleanse face in a circular motion and rinse with lukewarm water, as hot water zaps skin鈥檚 moisture.

Follow the cleansing stage with an exfoliant. A granular product is often especially effective in smoothing rough areas and releasing dead skin cells, allowing the face to be better moisturized.

After the exfoliation process concludes, use a toner or an astringent to tighten skin and remove any makeup or cleanser residue. A nice alternative to a toner or astringent would be doing a facial masque at least once a week, which tackles clogged pores while also firming skin and leaving it soft and silky.

Finally, pat skin dry with a soft towel but do not dry up all the water. Apply a moisturizer (with or without sunscreen) to help protect skin from dryness. Those who have oily skin do not have to moisturize as often as those who have dry, normal or combination skin.

mine is not a recipe. use olive oil or virgin coconut oil on your skin to moisturize it and make it smooth and firm.
Please please PLEASE DO NOT PUT MAYO IN YOUR HAIR!!

For some reason, people think that helps. It really doesn't.

Anyway, soap and water are a good thing. And I don't mean that in a bad way. I mean it seriously. Wash your face once a day with soap and water. People have been using it since soap was invented, so it must be good for something, right?

When it comes to a glowing complexion what we put into our bodies and how we treat our skin and ourselves has a huge impact on how we look 鈥?no skin care product can overcome certain damage. Here are a few hints to take the best care of your skin and get that radiant glow.

    1. Eat a balanced diet 鈥?what we put in our bodies will show

on our skin. If you eat fatty foods and junk your skin will reflect that, so give your skin proper nutrition.

    2. Get at least 7 to 8 hours sleep every night. A lack of sleep will show up under your eyes as dark circles or bags. Proper rest will also benefit your body and your life.

    3. Drink 6 to 8 glasses of water a day to keep your skin hydrated. It is best to spread the consumption of water in small amounts over the course of the day to be sure it is properly absorbed.

    4. Maintain a regular exercise schedule. Exercise gets the blood moving and creates a healthy body.

    5. Get lots of fresh air but avoid prolonged exposure to wind and cold.

    6. Avoid the sun and tanning beds. The damage done by

ultraviolet rays is long lasting and cannot be reversed.

    7. Always wear sunglasses to avoid squinting.

    8. Try to achieve a well-balanced life and reduce stress.

    9. Exfoliate twice a week to rid your skin of dead cells.

    10. Develop a skin care routine for your particular skn type.

If you have been neglecting your complexion start right away to

improve it 鈥?it鈥檚 never too late. What you do today will show up in your skin in the future. It鈥檚 up to you.

Apply pure almond oil...not the perfumed one on your hair about 6 hours before you take your hair bath. It helps to eliminate dandruff and gives healthy and glowing hair. You can also apply it on your face and neck and leave it for about an hour and wash it off with foam free and mild soap. This will give your face a radiance and glowing look. Do this about once/twice a week. It worked for me. Other than that, aviod using soap and shampoos made from sodium laureth sulfate which are harsh to skin. Use products which are foam free and natural. Its my opinion only, hope it works for you.
    yup sure...

Stay out of the sun - seriously - if you want to avoid wrinkles! All the anti-aging products do is try to repair damage caused mainly by the sun rather than actual aging. So don't get the problem in the first place and you won't need to spend money on anything.
I don't know if you'd consider this a home recipe but I find popping a vitamin-e capsule and massaging the oil in your face works effectively. Just massage it all over your face and wait at least 10 minutes before rinsing. It brings back the glow in your face especially if you've been stressed out.

    Fight Naturally Within

Achieving a healthy skin is not always determined by what you apply topically to your skin. An important component is what you take internally. We live in an environment where we are bombarded constantly by chemicals in the air we breathe, the foods we eat and the water we drink.

The way your skin looks reveals a great deal about what is going on inside your organs, tissues and cells, and about the way you live and think. Loss of skin tone and elasticity, skin dryness, oiliness, sallowness, undereye puffiness, breakouts and premature skin aging reflect the condition of each cell and the quality of the nutrients each cell receives. You can have a healthy and young skin at any age. To obtain optimal results, you must combine natural skin therapy “from the inside out”, with the appropriate skin treatments on a daily basis.Natural beauty recipes?
If you dab some lemon juice on any pimple it will get rid of it quickly and easily. lemon contains natural acids that dry out the pimple. also if you mix water with salt and apply to a pimple, it will dry out the pimple =D
Alot of times it is what you are putting into your body that is affecting your complexion. I'd cut out excess dairy products, chocolate, processed foods, etc and eat a more natural diet of Fruits, Veggies and some whole grains. I'd limit meats too, to sea food and some poultry or even a vegan type diet if you are inclined. Remember, you are what you eat. I'm 42 and my complexion is the best it's ever been after making dietary changes. I make fresh juice from my juice extracter every morning. Well, this is all just food for thought. Good luck to you!

    Home beauty recipes: Deep conditioner?

Lately, I've been all into the whole all-natural skin/hair care regime, and I'm loving what it's been doing to my skin and hair.

I use a castor oil and EVOO mix as a weekly prepoo, but I was wondering what I could add or replace to make a deep conditioner. I've heard that honey and egg yolk are good, has anyone tried it before?

Any advice is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!Home beauty recipes: Deep conditioner?
I love this type of question because I've been doing my own hair conditioners for 20 years and I have flawless, gorgeous long hair.

Short , boy hair - 1 egg yolk , 1 avocado, 1 teasp. of EVOO and Mayo

Medium shoulder to mid-back length hair - 2 egg yolks, 1 med. or large avocado, 2 tablespoons of mayo and EVOO, 1 of honey.

Long - down to waist hair - 3 egg yolks, 2 med. avocados, 3 tablespoons of mayo and EVOO and 2 of honey.

Mix all ingredients in blender, apply to dirty semi wet hair, tie it up in a plastic bag for 45 minutes. Rinse out, then apply fav. shampoo and conditioner. Do this 3 times a month.

RESULTS: Shiny, silky, gorgeous mane!Home beauty recipes: Deep conditioner?
I have a question for the person that answered it, First I want to know is for all types of hair, because I am Black, and 2nd I want to know what is EVOO, and 3rd I want to know if the recipes are for the hair that you already have or for the length of hair that you want, myangeleyes256@yahoo.com Report Abuse

Coconut oil is the best thing you can put on your hair. Also, coconut oil washes out really easy. You can find it at your health food store. Not only does it moisturize your hair, but it helps add strength to it too. Just put some on and put under a shower cap or cling wrap to keep it warm from the heat of your head. Leave on for about an hour or so and then shampoo as normal. Read your jar coconut oil labels carefully, as I've seen a few where the main ingredient is petroleum jelly or mineral oil, not coconut oil. I only use the 100% pure coconut oil, as the others just coat my head and are a mess to wash out.

Also here is a great hair mask:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0kvwQYHZ鈥?/a>
I use just plain olive oil. It works great. Just warm it up a little and slop it on then put a shower cap on or a warm towel on. Wait 30 mins then wash it out with your normal routine.

    deep hair conditioning treatment --

    1 cup mayonaisse

1/8-1/4 cup of your everyday, regular conditioner

1 warm towel, preferably straight out of the dryer

    saran wrap

wet your hair and comb it to get rid of any tanglies. mix the mayo and conditioner together and apply to hair, making sure to comb it through from roots to tips. after you use all your mayo/conditioner, wrap your hair in saran wrap. THEN, take your warm towel and wrap it around your head. leave it on for about 45-60 minutes and shampoo it out!

this may sound gross, but it is seriously not that bad. when you shampoo the mix out of your hair, i guarentee your hair will not smell of mayo and your hair will be shiny and smooth :) do this once a week!
if you have a dry face, put an avocado mask. Avocado is good for you skin because it lets out natural oils and anti-oxidants that your body needs.

If you ever need hairspray and have anemergency, use lime. Lime makes your hair stay and it smells like citrus.

if you have cellulite, rub coffee on your thighs or wherever you have it, after that take a bath and scrub good.

Those are cheap tricks that I mainly use.

Does anyone have any at-home beauty recipes or treatments that they would like to share? I would like to try out new things.At-home beauty recipes?
I have a lot but the two I use the most and have never failed me I will share with you.

    1. OATMEAL- one method is for exfoliation of the skin. dampened and rubbed on the skin, face included gives an extra silkiness. The other with oatmeal requires a bit of honey and milk to make a paste, apply liberally onto face being careful not to get into your eyes. Let rest on your skin for 15-20 minutes. A healthy glow and smoothlness is always the result for me.

    2. To keep feet soft I have used many expensive products but none works better than petroleum jelly, rub on the feet and put on some cotton socks before bed. If done regularly, you will never have dry or rough feet.(simply mashed avacado mask for the feet do wonders also.)At-home beauty recipes?
For really soft smooth skin, after the shower use olive oil instead of baby oil. Yeah there is little odor but it quickly disappears. In the morning your skin is still soft and smooth and you won't need any lotions. Also olive oil is good for your hair if its dry and brittle, and good for your face. Let me know if they work well for you too.

Place 2/3 teaspoon Matcha with 1 teaspoon water in a small bowl,

    Add 1 teaspoon egg white,

    Mix into green paste,

Use 2 cotton buds to apply green paste on face, avoid eye area,

    Wait 10 minutes,

    Clean face with warm water.

    2) Green Tea With Lemon Juice / Milk Facial Mask

Place 2/3 teaspoon Matcha in a small bowl,

Add 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice or milk, 陆 teaspoon clear honey,

    Mix into green paste,

Use 2 cotton buds to apply green paste on face, avoid eye area,

    Wait 10 minutes,

    Clean face with warm water.

    And from the second link:

    3) Green Tea Face Mask

    (Use once every two weeks)

    Ingredients

One spoonful of green tea powder

    One spoonful of egg white

    Method

    Mix well

Apply to face and leaver for 20 to

    30 minutes.

have you ever tried the otmeal facemask?it smells, but gives you a really good complexion afterwards.Just mix 1/2 a cup of cooked oatmeal,1/3 cup of yoghurt, and 1egg white. You won't regret using it trust me!
Here's one for hair wax base:

    1 part beeswax

    1 part aloe juice

2 parts xtra virgin ncoconut oil
    no.
I love to make my own body scrub. I use sugar, normally a fine grain put it in a jar and add baby oil and citrus oil essence. You can use any essential essence you want but make sure just use enough to scent and not too much. I use this as a body polish. I would not suggest you use it on your face though.
