鈥?Honey for Best Facial

The best facial mask that i have found is honey. Use warm cloth to open pores, smear on honey, leave on 15 to 30 minutes, rinse off with warm water, and then use cold water to close pores. Use for 3 days in a row and then once a week. Sometimes I mix a little gound oatmeal with the honey, which makes a great mask.

Facial Feels Good

One my daughter and I had fun with and found to have a cleansing and softening effect was to mix regular clean kitty litter, the clay kind, with water and strain out the grit. It really felt good.

Exfoliating Mask

For an easy exfoliating mask, mix three tablespoons olive oil or any good oil and one tablespoon kosher salt mix and gently rub into dry skin. Do not use around eye area. This works great on elbows and feet, but it can also be used on cheeks and forehead

Egg Whites

I use egg whites. Just beat one egg white until it is frothy. Spread it all over your face. Wait until it dries. Rinse it off. My face feels very clean and ';tight'; after this application. And then I use the yolk for cooking.( I have yet to have found a use for the shell)

Egg Yolk

The best homemade facial mask that I have used is a raw egg yolk. just apply the raw yolk to your face and neck for 30 minutes and rinse with cool water. Egg yolks are high in vitamin A. The mask is very effective in healing blemishes.

Match Mask to Your Skin Type

For trouble-prone skin, mix oatmeal with water to form a paste.

For normal to oily skin, use an egg white.

For dry skin, use an egg yolk.

In all cases, spread mixture on face and allow to dry. Rinse thoroughly with cool water.

For oily skin, witch hazel makes an inexpensive toner.

For dry skin, you may want to add moisturizer while skin is still damp.

Oatmeal

The cheapest and best facial mask I have ever come up with is oatmeal processed to a powder in the blender and either skim milk or if you are trying to fade spots lemon juice. Really works well for me and I have dry skin.

More Facial Maks Choices

The kind of the mask you want to use depends on your skin type.

For dry skin, try:

* an egg yolk mixed with olive oil and warmed honey

* sour cream

* plain olive oil

* avocado

For oily skin:

* dissolve a teaspoon of baking yeast in a small amount of warm milk, wait until foamy, then apply (best done in the bath tub);

* puree flesh of a tomato and mix with some potato flour to make a paste;

* cucumber (it will whiten your skin);

* beaten egg whites with a few drops of lemon juice (great for getting rid of blackheads);

* carrots (but don't use this one more than about every other week because it can overdry your skin). This one will make you look tanned.

General refreshing masks:

* grapes (just cut a berry in half and rub lightly)

* strawberries (test behind your ear first, because many people are alergic to strawberies used this way even thougth they can eat them just fine)

* honey and ricotta cheese

Many fruits and vegetables can also be used to good effect. Anything acidic (lemon, strawberries, etc) will tend to whiten and refresh your skin, but you need to be careful if your skin is dry.

In general, don't apply masks more often than about twice a week, and try to vary the ingredients.

It is a good idea to test the mask first. Apply a small amount behind your ear, wait 20 minutes, then wash off. Then wait 24 hours. If the skin behind your ear is normal, then go ahead and use the mask.

Egg Yolk and Honey

I reader recently asked if anyone had a recipe for homemade facial masks. I often use an egg yolk and honey mask. Just mix one egg yolk with a little honey and spread it on your face and neck. When it dries, rinse it off. Your skin will feel so fresh and soft!

8. Moisten a face cloth with warm water.

9. Gently remove the exfoliant being careful not to get any in your eyes.

10. Once removed, dry your face with a clean towel by patting your face to remove excess water. And there you have it - super radiant skin- the natural way!

11. Use a moisturiser to help seal the nutrients, apply sparsely to prevent clogging of the pores.

[edit] Tips

鈥?By using natural fruit and ingredients, the scrub with give your skin a more revitalised look and smell very yummy!

鈥?Try adding coconut flakes instead or as well as the oatmeal to give your body a sweet smelling sensation

鈥?For a body scrub mix up an extra large batch, and add sugar and some strong tea (black no sugar) which has cooled down, this helps put natural antioxidants back into your skin.

鈥?For a high antioxidant facial, try natural honey all over your face.

Homemade facial masks for All Skin Type

This is one if the simplest and cheapest mask. Damp some cotton wool with milk and rub it on the face.

Mask 2. Egg Mask

Separate the egg white from the yolk. Put the egg white on your face and relax for about 15 minutes. Wash off with lukewarm water. This facial mask leaves your skin smooth, refreshed and tightens your skin.

This mask is suitable for all types of skin, particularly if they feel tired and look sluggish or spotty. If the skin is very dry add more oil, and if very oily leave it out. The yogurt cleanses the skin thoroughly and fruits juices provide vitamins and minerals.

Face Packs for Dry Skin

Mask 1. For Mint face pack you will need one teaspoon of mint powder, One tablespoon of yogurt and One tablespoon of multani mitti.

Soak both multani mitti and mint powder in the yogurt for 20 minutes. Then mix them well by beating and apply on your face for 15 minutes. Leave it to dry for some time and then wash off with lukewarm water.

Mask 2. For Egg face pack you will need Egg yolk of one egg, One teaspoon of milk powder and Half teaspoon of honey. After beating egg yolk properly, mix milk powder and honey to it. Continuously beat again to obtain a medium thickness mixture. Apply it on the face and wash off with lukewarm water.

Avacado Face Mask: Avocados make excellent face masks for dry skin. They boast 14 minerals as antioxidant vitamins E and A. To prepare a face mask, mash up avocado, add a touch of sweet almond oil and smooth the mixture oveDo you know any homemade beauty recipes?
Strawberry Cleansing Mask:

4 small to medium strawberries

2 egg whites

Smash berries and egg whites together with a fork but leave the fruit pulpy. Massage the mixture and leave for 5 minutes. Your skin will start to feel supertight as the mask dries. The egg whites tighten skin so impurities are pushed to the surface and the seeds and fruit acid act as an exfoliator. When time's up, drape a warm, wet washcloth over your face and wipe off mask. Rinse away any residue.

Sunshine hair Gloss:

1 small spray bottle

1 teaspoon almond, cherry or vanilla extract

4 teaspoons lemon juice (blonde hair) or 4 teaspoons apple cider vinegar (dark hair)

2 cups water

Combine ingredients in spray bottle and go outside. Shake then spray a generous amount on to your tresses, from the roots to ends. Concentrate the mixture (about 15 spritzes) on the areas you want to look sun-kissed.

Both Recipes from Teen Magazine!
I use a mixture of oats (crushed up in the food processor, pretty fine powdery) honey, and milk. Make it into a paste and store in the fridge. That is an excellent face mask. For a good cooling mask, add in a drop or two of peppermint oil, but no more than that. More is not better.

A minture of olive oil and brown sugar makes a great face scrub.

Olive oil makes a great dry scalp treatment. Just saturate the scalp and allow to set 15 minutes or so and wash out. You can also add a couple tablespoons of olive oil to a bottle of shampoo for extra moisturizing.
The best facial mask is honey. Place a cloth in warm water and apply to your face to open the pores. Smear on honey, and leave on for 15 to 30 minutes. Rinse off with warm water, then use cold water to close the pores. Use once a week.
To get rid of black heads and have a cute face...
